Terry Myhre

My mother, Terry Myhre, is the most beautiful woman I have ever known. She raised three children on her own (my father a severe alcoholic) while battling bouts of domestic abuse. She never ‘threw in the towel’, even when bills were piling up and food was scarce; she used her wit, know-how and several resources to keep our household going. My wife is the most beautiful woman I know, inside and out. During the hectic Christmas season, she organized 25 Days of Giving for herself and our family. The two of us and our kids (Alex, 11, and Ashley, 9) spent the Christmas season serving at the Humane Society, ringing bells for the Salvation Army, and playing games with residents at Valley Eldercare. I’m nominating my sister Shannon. Many people may already know her because she has made it her goal to help teens and I mean any teens. On December 12 2010 she lost her son Forrest to suicide. It was not something anyone saw coming. Her boys were and are still her life. She has managed to keep pushing through and surviving for her family.
